- "To help people become the writer they want to be."
- "To back the writer who wants to begin or further a career in writing."
1. "To help people become the writer they want to be."

- Receive helpful advice and constructive criticism from people who read your work.
- Save the helpful critiques to your private writing area to refer to when you are writing.
- Revise your work and repost until you are satisfied.
- Why should I critique? If you leave constructive criticism for your fellow writers, it will improve the
likelihood of your work getting read. Critiquing will also help you to strenthen your skills as a writer.
- Why do postings end? To ensure that the content on Chapteread is kept up to date by the authors.
Critiques last up to 21 days.
2. "To back the writer who wants to begin or further a career in writing"
Your tools
- Keep in direct touch with fans and readers.
- Gather statistics on all your postings.
- Manage your online profile that is specifically designed for your writings.
Posting
- Post your finished writing in the "completed works" area to showcase your talent.
- Receive reviews.
- When you receive enough votes from the readers your work will enter the "community favorites" area for maximum
exposure, it will be posted in a query letter format.
- When it enters the "community favorites" area it confirms that the readers and writers have backed your
work as a piece of literature that they would like to see published in some type of medium (i.e. traditional or self publishing).
- The "community favorites" area was designed for your work to be excluded from the other writings on the site so they are easily acknowledged by publishers,
agents, editors and the public as a promising piece of writing.
Promoting your work
- Once your work is posted in the "community favorites" area in the query letter format. This is
your opportunity to gain a larger audience and hopefully publication (e.g. traditional or self publishing). It is our goal that you, the author, will have the
opportunity to accumulate the statistics and fanbase that the publishing industry relies on for sales.
